Wastewater & Starr links Wyman Road with the eastern network, pairing a winding wooded descent with a fast straight shot and two very different climbs home.
About Wastewater & Starr
Wastewater & Starr teaches two familiar eastside ways between Wyman Road and the roads near Highway 45.
Wastewater Hill drops through a wooded, winding descent toward the city’s wastewater facility, while Starr Road offers a faster, straighter run down the ridge. Coming back is the real decision: climb the twisting grades of Wastewater or grind your way back up Starr.
Both roads are useful pieces of the eastern network, and knowing them gives riders another way to shape routes between Fayetteville, Wyman and the roads farther southeast.
Notes
- Refueling: There are no stops on the core loop.
- Wastewater: Use caution descending the twisty turns of Wastewater Hill.
- Starr: Starr is a much more straightforward descent, but stay alert near driveways and look out for deer crossing.
