A rolling loop to Siloam Springs past Lake Wedington, returning on Old Highway 68 through the ridges and hollows of northwest Washington County.
About Siloam Springs
The Siloam Springs loop makes a broad circuit through northwest Washington County, linking wooded hills, river valleys and the rolling country between Fayetteville and the Oklahoma line.
The route heads southwest through Savoy and drops toward the Illinois River basin before passing directly by Lake Wedington on AR-16. After reaching Siloam Springs, the return picks up Old Highway 68 as it winds east through quiet countryside, wooded hollows and the ridges around Pedro and Round Top.
The final stretch feature a series of gradual, heavy steps back up to the plateau elevation of Tontitown.
Notes
- Refueling: The route includes a gas station stop in Siloam Springs.
- Water: There's a cyclist-friendly water spigot next to the flagpoles inside the SafeTV tower site near the intersection of Old Hwy 68 and Liberty Avenue.
- US 412: This route requires two 0.3-mile rides on US 412 near the edge of Siloam Springs to get from the south to the north side of Old Hwy 68. Use caution and use the shoulder.
