Reed Valley & Steele connects Johnson with the western network, pairing a flatter valley route with a hillier option through the ridges south of Tontitown.
About Reed Valley & Steele
Reed Valley & Steele teaches two useful ways to move between Johnson and the southern edge of Tontitown, helping connect north Fayetteville with the western riding network.
Reed Valley is the easier option, following lower ground with relatively little climbing. Steele takes the higher road, adding a series of rollers and a more noticeable climb before reconnecting near Tontitown.
The core loop includes both so riders can learn how the roads fit together, then choose between the flatter valley route or the hillier option depending on the day.
Notes
- Refueling: There are no stops on the core loop.
- Highway 112: Be extra careful crossing Highway 112, whether it's on Reed Valley at the curves or on the Steele/New Hope dogleg at the hill.
