Connector
Oxford & Oakland
This route pairs Oxford Bend and Oakland Zion as two eastside connectors, with river views, quiet country roads and useful links across Highway 45.
About Oxford & Oakland
Oxford & Oakland teaches two useful ways to move between the eastern riding areas north and south of Highway 45.
Oxford Bend takes the more scenic line, using higher ground with a view of the White River near its northern end if you know where to look through the trees. Oakland Zion is the simpler cut-through, offering a mostly quiet, direct connection.
Neither road needs to be the centerpiece of a ride, but together they fill in an important part of the eastside network and give riders more flexibility when linking longer routes.
Notes
- Refueling: There are no stops on the core connector.
- Highway 45: Be extra cautious on the short stretch of highway between Oxford Bend and Wyman Road, and when crossing the highway dogleg at Oakland Zion.
Note: Routes are provided for planning purposes. Road conditions, traffic and access can change. Ride within your abilities and verify current conditions before leaving.
