Connector
Green Bridge
Woolsey Road offers an alternate to Scenic Highway 71 between Woolsey and West Fork, carrying the name of the old green bridge that once crossed the river there.
About Green Bridge
Green Bridge is a simple alternate between Woolsey and West Fork, running roughly parallel to Scenic Highway 71 on Woolsey Road before becoming McKnight Avenue near town.
The route takes its name from the old green truss bridge that crossed the West Fork of the White River at Woolsey. After 90 years of service, the bridge closed in 2015, cutting off this useful local connector until a replacement opened in 2018.
Today, it offers another way through the valley for riders looking to avoid Highway 71 or simply mix up a familiar route.
Notes
- Refueling: There is a gas station just north of West Fork on Highway 71.
- Highway 71: Use caution on Highway 71.
