About Blue Springs
Blue Springs is built around one of the more overlooked stretches of road northeast of Fayetteville.
From Sonora, riders spend about two miles on the shoulder of busy Highway 412 before turning south onto Blue Springs Road. From there, the route settles into quiet riding through open pasture, wooded hills and the upper White River basin as the road winds and drops toward Goshen.
A final mile on Highway 45 connects to Wyman Road and the southern network. Those uncomfortable highway sections keep this route off many local lists, but Blue Springs Road itself is well worth the trouble.
Notes
- Refueling: There's a gas station in Goshen and another as you enter Fayetteville.
- Direction: Riding clockwise is highly advised since it keeps you on the shoulder of Hwy 412 without ever having to cross the very busy highway.
- Highway 412: About two miles are on the shoulder of a very busy highway. The shoulder is huge, but traffic is fast and constant, so stay alert and use caution.
- Highway 45: The short one-mile connector between Goshen and Wyman Road also carries faster traffic and has no shoulder, so use caution.
